Together they give something bright and red-fruited with a savoury undertow, the tannins soft and the acidity doing most of the structural work. Michel-Henri and Françoise Ratte have farmed these vines organically and biodynamically since 1989, twenty-six years of that while the fruit still went to the Arbois cooperative. They began bottling for themselves in 2015 and their son Quentin now works alongside them.
