Domaine Ratte | Jura, France
Michel-Henri and Françoise Ratte
Domaine Ratte is the passion project of Michel-Henri and Françoise Ratte, a powerhouse husband-and-wife duo redefining tradition in Arbois, Jura. Their wines are deeply rooted in respect for their land and their craft. With 9 hectares spread across revered sites like Les Corvées, Grand Curoulet, and la Bergère, the domaine is a mosaic of Jura terroir. The vines, passed down from Françoise’s family, have been farmed organically and biodynamically since 1989, long before it was fashionable. The lineup is a love letter to Jura’s native grapes: Savagnin, Chardonnay, Trousseau, Ploussard, and Pinot Noir. Now joined by their son Quentin, the Ratte family continues to champion low-intervention winemaking, letting the vines do the talking. For Michel-Henri and Françoise, it’s not just about making wine - it’s about creating something timeless.
