Les Terrasses 2022
Savagnin is the Jura's most characterful white grape — and in the wrong hands it can be a lot to handle. Jean-Michel takes a different approach with Les Terrasses: fully topped up rather than aged under a veil, keeping it bright, fresh, and completely in command of itself.
The vineyard sits on bituminous schist and Triassic marl on a steep south-facing terrace above Pupillin — old soils that push a particular salinity into everything grown there. The result is a broad, generous Savagnin, full of stone fruit and a sharp mineral acidity that keeps it focused.
No oxidative notes here, just Savagnin as it tastes when Jean-Michel lets the fruit lead.
