Clos des Mailles 2022
Clos des Mailles 2022 is named after one of the beautiful terroirs in Faye d'Anjou, known for its dry Chenin. This hillside is composed of schist with phthanites, extending from the ridge overlooking the Layon to the northwest-facing mid-slope. The Chenin vines for this cuvée are located at the highest point of the hillside, on the ridge and the beginning of the slope, where the soil is very shallow, exposing schist and its phthanite veins. The Chenin vines are a blend of 25-year-old vines, a quarter of younger vines aged 7 and 11 years, and a quarter of ancient vines over a hundred years old.
This is a light bodied natural white wine.
