Müller-Thurgau 2024
Rheinhessen, Germany · White Wine · Light Bodied
Müller-Thurgau rarely gets taken seriously, which is precisely the sort of thing Andi Mann enjoys correcting. From his organically farmed vines in Eckelsheim, in the steep southern reaches of Rheinhessen, this is a dry, unfussed white made with wild yeasts and a light hand. Fresh pear and white blossom, a squeeze of citrus, and the soft floral character the grape does so well when it is grown with care rather than pushed for volume. Uncomplicated in the best sense: cold, poured young, and gone before you have thought too hard about it.
