Les Ouvrées 2020

Les Ouvrées shares the same Terrasses du Larzac terroir as Les Gravettes but features Mourvèdre at the heart of its blend alongside Syrah and Grenache — a grape that brings structure, depth, and the kind of brooding, inky character the appellation does so well. The stones-on-limestone soils and elevation keep things fresh. Aged in oak barrels and cement eggs, the wine opens with dark fruit, leather, and wild herbs; the palate is medium-to-full-bodied with firm, well-integrated tannins and a long, mineral finish. Decant if possible, or lay down for another 2–3 years.
