

Radicalement Rouge 2023
The four varieties: Cabernet Franc, Gamay, Grolleau Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon are handled separately according to what each grape needs. Some of it goes into carbonic maceration whole-bunch, which gives the wine its lift and freshness. The rest is partially destemmed and fermented in open tank for around two weeks, adding grip and structure. The two halves are blended before bottling in stainless steel, preserving the crunch and clarity that the Loire does better than anywhere.
Radicalement Rouge 2023 comes from a warmer, more generous vintage the fruit is riper, rounder, slightly darker in tone than previous vintages while the Gamay and Grolleau keep the whole thing lifted and alive. Blackcurrant, bramble, white pepper and soft herbs are the through-line across vintages; in 2023 there is more flesh on the bones. Serve it cool, with almost anything.
Pairs well with charcuterie, grilled chicken, BBQ, soft cheese, or just on its own.
