Wild Things N.V
Wild Things carries no vintage, which generally means a blend across years and a wine built to a shape rather than to a calendar. Daisy Merrick and Antoine Lucchesi work out of Eckelsheim in Rheinhessen with four hectares of their own and fruit bought from organic and biodynamic growers. Native yeasts do the fermenting, nothing is fined or filtered, and sulphur stays out of it entirely. This is the direct one in the range: citrus, orchard fruit and a dry chalky finish, with a faint wildness the name has already warned you about and no rough edges to speak of.
